SL in Sweden

In 2001, AB Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) started to test the Sentio® system in the subway.

Today SL is investing in the protection of its 56 underground stations and their connecting tunnels of about 80 kilometres.

 

Johan Hedenfalk, retired Director of Safety at SL: "SL has tested different types of technical solutions for fire and smoke detection in difficult underground environments for a long time. Previously tested products have not met our demands concerning accessibility, reliability and false alarms. The system development from Firefly in consultation with SL, in combination with the results of the test installation, has led SL to the decision to equip our entire underground subway system with the Sentio® system."
